Continuing To Press Forward With Faith Enduring!

Hello my dear wonderful family!

It’s great to hear from all of you! I am so happy to have you all in my life and knowing that you all mean so much to me! This week we have seen plenty of miracles and great experiences! I am so excited to share them with you. Well, here we go!

June 10th: Today we were able to help out a wonderful family who regularly have us over for dinner in cleaning out their garage and tidying up random odds and ends. I really wish I would have taken a before and after picture because it looks amazing! Also today we were able to visit with a sister in the young women’s group that was preparing to host a family search activity. I found out about it Sunday and offered to help. She was very excited for the help, and so tonight we stopped by her house and helped her become a little more familiar with the online searching resources.

June 11th: Today we this week we were visiting with a member who has been a convert for a few years but for a little over a month they had not been reading their scriptures and felt like church was becoming a slight burden. Then all of a sudden, the missionaries appear on their doorstep! Haha! It’s so wonderful how our Heavenly Father works in mysterious ways. We just had a thought pop into our minds, let’s go by this members home. And sure enough, He was preparing us and them to meet and to help uplift and reassure them of the importance of church attendance and scripture reading. Then later tonight we were working

with our young women’s group to do get started on some family history work and it was a huge success! I was able to help one young woman with getting her tree pulled together so she can start looking for names to take to the temple in September! She was so excited and asked if it would be this easy when she got home! It truly is an enjoyable sight of the spirit of Elijah working within us and inviting us all to turn our hearts to our forefathers before us.

June 12th: Today was an incredible day where we were able to put two of the people that we were teaching on date to be baptized as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! It was incredible
to see their desire to learn more about the Gospel and follow in the footsteps of our Savior, Jesus Christ. And it’s also an incredible feeling being the missionary who helps bring others unto Christ.

June 13th: Today we had a rather interesting experience with a member who has not been able to attend church for a while. It was a rather difficult week for them with some family issues, but we were able to
help them realize that they can be together forever with their family as we reviewed the Plan of Salvation with them. Let me share with you how eye opening of an experience it was for them. It was somewhat of a
shock at first but then they felt as if a burden had been lifted off their shoulders! We just happened to be in the neighborhood and we stopped in. They really appreciated us stoping by.

June 14th: Today we were able to participate in the Stake Day of Service. We went to two different parks to help out in cleaning and beautifying the landscaping and being able to serve the community. It was awesome. We also were able to give a priesthood blessing with our Bishop to member who hasn’t been able to attend church till recently. It was such a powerful experience being able to stand in on the blessing and contribute. The Spirit was there and after wards the Bishop wife just simply exclaimed in tears that she know that there were angels rejoicing in heaven and how she felt the Spirit so strong. Later this evening, we were able to help a family that haven’t been able to come to church recently in installing a hardwood floor! They
are such an awesome family and they are super friendly.

June 15th: Today was awesome because we had four people that we are visiting come to church today! It was such an awesome experience! And my dear companion was able to give a talk and later we had wonderful discussions in our classes with the members and the people we are teaching. Then on our way to dinner, we were stopped by this young man who asked us a lot of questions regarding our personal lives and what we do as missionaries. It felt good being able to answer his questions in regard to living a clean and morally chaste life. I know that the things we are taught by living in the world, but not of the world are key and they will continue to bless your life if you hold faithful to it.

Well my dear family and friends, I love you so much and I hope that you have an incredible week and I hope to hear from you soon! I would dearly love to see a few letters in the mail from you! :D

All the best from Oregon,

Elder Harper
