I wanted to share an experience that I had the other day when I was about to begin my personal study. I was offering a prayer to our Heavenly Father that I wanted help finding answers to questions that both me and the people we were teaching had.
As I did that, I also began to think about some of the little struggles that I’ve been going through in my life. I also began to think about how sometimes I don’t quite measure up to other people around me or I see myself failing more often than others. Near the end of that prayer I sighed in despair knowing that these trials have weighed down on me at different points in my life, and it’s hard when you want to over come them especially when you know it’s affecting your emotional well being. In the end I simply asked Heavenly Father to help me to be the person He wants me to be.
Immediately following that sentence, I heard in my mind these words, “I Need An Adam.” I know without a doubt in my heart that this was a personal message sent from Heaven, and I began to ponder over that phrase and consider what it meant.
Our life was pre-ordained, or in other words, “God is the Father of our spirits. We are literally His children, and He loves us. We lived as spirit children of our Father in Heaven before we were born on this earth.” Tying that back to pre-ordained, each of us has a particular role that we need to play here on Earth during our life. So when you really think about it, there is and will only be one “You” in the life of this world.
The statement I received and the knowledge that we lived with Heavenly Father before this life tells me that He knows each of us on a personal level. He knows exactly what we are going through. He knows what we are capable of; both the good and the bad. He knows what trials we will face in this life, and He knows that we can overcome them because as it was written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that He isn’t going to give us something that we can’t handle. My hope in sharing this with you today is that you’ll walk away knowing that you truly are unique; each one of us. You are not forgotten by our Heavenly Father.
If you have a few minutes, I absolutely love this message given by Elaine S. Dalton where she also testifies that Heavenly Father knows you by name. Enjoy!
