Project Corrections / Time spent: I spent 30 minutes refining my Business Cards, 30 minutes on my Stationery, 30 minutes on my Flier, and 30 minutes on my Event Ad. Overall it was about 2 hours to complete my corrections and delve into the finer points of each design; down to the pixel!
Message: The message that I am conveying with my portfolio design is that I want people to recognize that I am striving to be a professional designer. I have had several years of experience and the more that I continue to design the better I become. The design I feel is sleep and modern but has a minimalist design aesthetic to it.
Audience: My audience I am targeting are people who are looking for a clean and effective design who are perhaps beginning their business or are rebranding their business. I want my audience to know that I am versatile in my designs and that I can help them create anything they can imagine.
Top Thing Learned: I feel like the top thing I learned doing this project is that it’s okay to show yourself off and essentially try to sell yourself to the design market. It’s essential that people see and understand who you are and what you can accomplish. I know that this project will help me to better my designs and further my ability to present myself in the future.
Future application of Visual Media: The many things I can apply what I learned in Visual Media is innumerable! I have seen how I have improved in my designs in so many ways that will help me to be a better designer. I have seen how design is a constantly evolving progress whereby we must continually adapt ourselves and our way of thinking.
